Just another rando on the Net
I’ve been happily married for 16 years (as of this writing) and currently have 2 pups and wonderful memories of 3 others that have passed on during our time together.
I grew up in a time before the internet and smart phones, and I have to say I’m quite thankful for that, even though now I can’t even imagine being with out the Net, or my Samsung…
I have too many hobbies, and I tend to lose focus/momentum rather quickly. So I have a lot of started, but unfinished projects sitting around the house/workshop.
I have every intention of getting them done “someday”, but after work, I find myself watching something on Netflix et al.

Photography is something I enjoy
I quite enjoy photography. I realized one day that I had no photos of me or the things I did from my mid 20s to my late 30s (smart phones weren’t a thing yet). Almost 2 decades with no record of anything.
So I decided to get a camera and started to take pics. Still not a lot of photos of me, because I’m terminally unphotogenic, but at least I have a record of my pups, my activities, and on the rare times I’m lucky enough to get a shot, my beautiful wife.
And the rest…
I’m a lifelong Star Wars fan, and I enjoyed all of the movies. Even Ep I-III, (though there were a few things about the prequels that I didn’t like as well). I’ve also watched all of the Star Wars series and find them to be quite enjoyable too.
I got into hiking in the last few years, though at the onset of Covid-19 I stopped for quite a while, and have only recently started getting back out there once in a while.
I played a lot of D&D when I was a kid, it was a huge part of my life. A couple years back I went to a Meetup D&D group to try and get back into it. It was a lot of fun, but sadly the group dissolved the week following my first session due to the host and his wife having a baby. ah well, maybe again sometime 🙂
Later in life, I’ve discovered that I’m quite interested in Cosplay. I’m trying to build a couple of different Star Wars costumes, but due to focus constraints (and a fear of messing up expensive materials), it’s slow going.
I attended my first Fan Expo in 2020, just a couple weeks before the lockdown, and it was a great experience. I’m looking forward to more “some day”.
